Q: I just placed my order, when will it be shipped?

A: Orders received before 1.30pm on a working day will be shipped the same day. Orders received after 1.30pm will be shipped the following working day.

While we will do all we can to ensure your order is delivered on time. Selk'bag UK cannot be held responsible for conditions beyond our control such as severe weather, service interruptions, etc.

*Remote/distant regions may experience higher transit times.

Q: Can I upgrade my shipping service after my order has been placed?

A: Once an order has been placed, we are not able to update or upgrade the shipping method chosen. If you have any concerns about an existing order, please contact us and provide your order number for reference. We will do our best to assist you with any concerns.

Q: What about shipping to other countries?

A: We are unable to ship outside of the UK.

Q: How can I track my order?

A: You can track your order by clicking the link found in the shipping confirmation email. Please allow 1-2 business days to receive your shipment notification email after placing your order. If you are having trouble tracking your package, please contact customer service and we'd be happy to assist.

Q: Can I cancel or make changes to my order after placing it?

A: No, once an order has been placed, we are unable to alter or cancel the order. We process and ship orders quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order and we will do our best to assist you.

Q: Can I ship my order to a PO Box?

A: At this time, we are unable to ship to PO boxes.

Q: I am not going to be home when my package is expected to arrive, what should I do?

A: We require a signature upon delivery for all orders. We suggest that if you will not be home and are concerned about your order’s delivery, to use your work address as the shipping address to ensure you receive your package.

Q: My tracking information says delivered, but I have not received my order. What should I do?

A: Please check with your surrounding neighbours and/or landlord to ensure your order was not mistakenly picked up. If you are still unable to locate your shipment, please reach out to us via our contact form and we will be happy to assist you.

Q: I noticed my details are incorrect on my order summary, can I change them at this time?

A: If you have made an error in your order details, please reach out to us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist you!

Q: What are some of the most common uses for the Selk'bag?

Q: What is the texture on the feet, and can I wear it hiking with no additional footwear?

A: The feet use a tough nylon material for easy walking. They are not, however, meant for hiking. The Selk'bag is a wearable sleeping bag first and foremost. Just remove the booties so you can wear your own boots with the bag!

Q: Does each Selk'bag come with a Selk'bag carrier bag

A: Yes! Each Selk'bag comes with a "stuff sack" that is used to not only compress the bag but for carrying and stowing. While we recommend that long-term storage is done in a laundry-type bag with good ventilation and space, the stuff sack is perfect for travel and stow away.

Selk'bag Temperature Ratings

Q: What do the temperature ratings mean and what is EN13537?

A: EN13537 is the common sleeping bag testing standard adopted and strictly enforced by the EU since 2005. We decided to test our products according to the toughest standard in existence, EN13537. Here is a brief description of the temperature ratings, for more information go to Wikipedia:

Comfort: the temperature at which a standard woman wearing nothing but the Selk'bag can expect to sleep comfortably in a relaxed position.

Limit: the temperature at which a standard man wearing nothing but the Selk'bag can expect to sleep comfortably in a relaxed position. This Temperature is what you will see in all our products and it the most used across the market.

Extreme: the temperature at which a standard woman wearing nothing but the Selk'bag can remain for six hours without risk of hypothermia or death. The performance of the Selk'bag can be greatly enhanced by employing simple and basic methods.

Q: How can I improve the temperature performance of my Selk'bag?

A: Improving the temperature performance of the Selk'bag Sleepwear System is similar to improving the temperature performance of any technical sleeping bag product. Try these methods to improve your Selk'bag performance:

  • Wear a Base Layer: wearing a quality base layer with your Selk'bag can improve temperature performance by 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend technical base layers that can both wick moisture and keep your warm.
  • Use a Sleeping Pad: sleeping on a quality sleeping pad can have a nice warming effect while you sleep. We recommend technical pads, like Thermarest for example.
  • Pull Your Arms into the Chest Cavity: the Selk'bag is designed to allow the wearer to pull their arms into the chest cavity of the Selk'bag, thus acting more like a traditional mummy bag when temperatures are very low.
  • Cuddle: something you can't do in a mummy bag, and that's cuddle with someone else!

Selk'bag Temperature Performance Fact: many people think the Selk'bag is dramatically colder than similarly constructed mummy bags (insulation, shell, baffled construction) due to arm and leg separation. However, by having arms and legs separated, the Selk'bag only loses 2 to 3 degrees of temperature performance.

Warranty

Q: What is the manufacturer's warranty on the Selk'bag?

A: The manufacturer's warranty on the Selk'bag covers all manufacturer's defects for a period of 2 years. Issues caused by owner misuse are not covered under the warranty. As the exclusive distributor of the Selk'bag Sleepwear System, Selk'bag UK will administer all customer warranty claims and reserves the right to repair or replace the defective product at their discretion. A proper fit is essential to fully enjoying all the Selk'bag has to offer. All Selk'bag models are unisex, meaning they are suitable for men and women.

The size you need will depend on the activity you'll use it for the most : to sleep, be active, both, or any other thing you can think of. To help you choose we’ve put together a Fitting Guide with comprehensive information.

Minimum Height: 4'0" / 122 cm
Maximum Height: 4'6" / 137 cm

Minimum Height: 4'6" / 137 cm
Maximum Height: 4'11" / 150 cm

* Please note, Kids size Large is significantly less wide than the Adult size Small. An adult that measures between 4'6" / 137 cm and 4'11" / 150 cm should use the Adult Small over Kids Large.

If you are between 4’5” and 4’9” this is your size. It can fit up to 4'11'' if you intend to use it while active, without booties.

Fits up to 5'5" / 165cm Tall

If you are between 4'9'' and 5'3'' this is your size. It can fit up to 5'5'' if you intend to use it while active, without booties.

Fits up to 5'11" / 180cm Tall

If you are between 5'3'' and 5'9'' this is your size. It can fit up to 5'11'' if you intend to use it while active, without booties.

Fits up to 6'4" / 193cm Tall

If you are between 5'9'' and 6'2'' this is your size. It can fit up to 6'4'' if you intend to use it while active, without booties.

Same as X-Large, but for heavier body types (approx. +2'' in girth throughout the torso vs X-Large)

* Please keep in mind that our Original model, due to a higher insulation loft (contains more padding insulation than the Lite) makes it more snug, so we recommend to size up if you are 1'' to 3'' below the in between size range (i.e if you are getting the Original and you are 5'9'' we recommend getting an XL)

In-between sizes?

A looser fit is better for more comfortable sleeping, while a tighter fit is better for mobility - but may restrict sleeping comfort if booties are left on.

We always recommend to size up if you are in between sizes or not completely sure. It's better to have a little bit more room while using your Selk'bag!

A – Total Length: Measure your height from the top of your head to your toes.

B – Girth Chest/Bust: Measure in the fullest part.

C – Girth Waist: Measure your waist at the narrowest point.

D – Girth Hip: Measure in the fullest part.
